This custom squatty rig is a 2014 collaborative piece handmade in Gig Harbor, Washington by Jeff Melitz and Amir Shawn. The foundational form was hand-spun by Jeff Melitz using a heavy-sparkle palette of OG Blue Stardust and Green Stardust borosilicate glass. The body is accented with a precise, custom dot-work geometric medallion applied by Eugene, Oregon artist Amir Shawn. Standing approximately 9.4 inches tall and weighing 468 grams, this heavy-walled rig is built with a 14mm male joint, includes a matching custom glass joint cover, and features a titanium signature reading “Melitz 14” on the glass.
